We prefer that the initial contact be via telephone, as it allows us to check for conflicts of interest before we know any of the details of your situation.

We can usually set up a free initial consultation within two to three business days (if not sooner). During that initial consultation, we cover three topics:

1. Details about your situation, so we can tailor our conversation to what's going on in your case;
2. Information about the relevant area of law, so you know the context that you'll have for making decisions; and
3. How our office works--including our policies on confidentiality, communication with our clients, and billing.

We recommend that when you prepare for your initial consultation, that you think about the questions you have for us, and even consider making a list of questions. We also recommend that you think about your goals for resolution, and about what concerns you have or what outcomes you'd most like to avoid. Please bring all your paperwork with you to your consultation.

As with almost all professional offices, we work by appointment. If you are a current client, and just need to drop off or pick up documents, you are welcome to do so any Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
